Wilson Becoming an Evangelist and Johnston’s Hospitalization
When Johnston was in the hospital in May 1982, her husband, Wilson, became concerned when no visitors arrived, even though his nearest neighbors were only half a mile away. Wilson, despite his wealth, felt completely alone.
He later said in an interview that in 1982, he had a mystical experience. Wilson, feeling alone and defeated, appealed to Lord Jesus, saying, “If you put my family back together, if you give me my mind back, I’ll turn things around.”
